Fonts
Fonts is where you upload custom font files that you want available in the layout designer. Once uploaded, a font shows up in the font picker for text widgets, menu boards, and anywhere else type is set inside OTS Signs.
Where to find it: sidebar → Admin group → Fonts.
Why upload custom fonts
Section titled “Why upload custom fonts”The layout designer ships with a small set of system fonts, but most brands have their own typography. Uploading your brand font (or any other typeface you’ve licensed for digital signage use) makes sure your layouts look consistent across every display.
Supported formats
Section titled “Supported formats”Standard web font formats are supported (TTF, OTF, WOFF, WOFF2). Players cache fonts locally after the first download.

Uploading a font
Section titled “Uploading a font”- Click the + button in the top-right.
- Choose the font file from your computer.
- Optionally override the name that will appear in the font picker. If you leave it blank, the family name from the file is used.
- Click Upload.
The new font is available in the layout designer almost immediately. Players pick up new fonts the next time they download a layout that uses them.
Downloading a font
Section titled “Downloading a font”Right-click a row → Download to fetch the original file back. Useful if you need to install the same font in another tool to keep designs consistent across systems.
Deleting a font
Section titled “Deleting a font”Right-click → Delete. Layouts that reference the deleted font will fall back to a system font on next render — they won’t break, but they may not look the way you intended. The dialog reminds you of this.
Common tasks
Section titled “Common tasks””Our brand changed its primary font — what do I do?”
Section titled “”Our brand changed its primary font — what do I do?””Upload the new font here. Then open each layout that references the old font, switch the text widgets to the new family, and re-publish. Once nothing is using the old font, delete it from this page so it doesn’t show up in the picker.
”A layout shows the wrong font on the screen but the right font in the designer”
Section titled “”A layout shows the wrong font on the screen but the right font in the designer””The display hasn’t downloaded the font yet. Make sure the layout has been republished, then wait for the player’s next check-in. If it still doesn’t update, try re-uploading the font file here.
