Account Settings
The Account Settings dialog is where you view your sign-in details and adjust your notification preferences. It opens as a dialog over whatever page you are on, so you don’t lose your place.
How to open it: Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose Account Settings. There is no dedicated page for this — it is always a dialog.
What you’ll see
Section titled “What you’ll see”The dialog has two sections, stacked top-to-bottom.
Profile
Section titled “Profile”A card with these fields:
- Username — read-only. Your sign-in name.
- Email — your email address used for notifications.
- First name / Last name — shown alongside your username in the application.
- New password / Confirm new password — leave blank to keep your current password.
Notification Preferences
Section titled “Notification Preferences”A collapsible card. Click the Notification Preferences header to expand it. These settings control which notifications OTS Signs sends to your account:
- System notifications
- Display status notifications
- DataSet update notifications
- Layout status notifications
- Library item notifications
- Report notifications
- Schedule notifications
- Custom notifications
- Default media duration (seconds) — the default play time applied to new media items in the library, if no per-item duration is set. Defaults to 10 seconds.
Toggle the switches you want, then click Save Preferences. A toast confirms the change.
Where the theme toggle lives
Section titled “Where the theme toggle lives”The theme toggle (light / dark) is not in this dialog. It lives in two places:
- The top bar, next to the refresh icon.
- The sidebar bottom, next to your avatar.
Your choice is saved per-browser and applied automatically next time you sign in.
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”Sign-out is also in the avatar menu in the sidebar bottom — click Sign Out. Your session is ended on the server and you are returned to the sign-in page.
Need to change your password or email?
Section titled “Need to change your password or email?”If your organization manages sign-in outside OTS Signs, changes to your password, email, or display name are made through your organization’s account portal. Your administrator can point you to the right place.
